Software Modes

The Drone™ operates out-of-the-box in plug and play mode, which means you do not need to install any software on your computer. Drone has all the software embedded within the hardware to stream music and voice to your headset, control Skype® and perform all music controls.

Drone™ can also operate in software controlled mode where it behaves like a traditional Bluetooth dongle. To use the Drone in software mode on Windows XP/2000 you must download a software package called a "Bluetooth stack" to control your Drone™. This software stack is made by Toshiba and is only for use with Windows 2000 and XP. Windows Vista does not require an additional software download. In order to place your Drone™ in this software controlled mode, you simply press-and-hold the multifunction button for 10 seconds until it becomes recognized by your computer.

Firmware Updates

When new features are available for the Drone™, you can take advantage of this by upgrading the software directly through the USB port. New updates will be posted here when they become available.
