The next time you power on the Dragon, it will automatically connect back to your phone. You may be prompted to accept the connection on your phone. 3. How do I connect two Dragon headsets together? To connect a Dragon to another Dragon for 2-way communication over a 250,000 sq ft area... turn on the first headset and it will automatically go into discoverable mode. Turn on the second headset while pressing the multifunction button at the same time. Once the audio connection is established, you will notice that the multifunction button on either side will turn the audio channel on and off. If either party wishes to talk, simply press the multifunction button. To mute the channel, either side may press the multifunction button. 4. How Does the Dragon Achieve its Range Up to 100 meters? The dragon headset is categorized as a Class-1 Bluetooth device, which is based on a power rating that can transmit up to 100 meters. It uses proprietary RF amplification and software, which enable the headset to pair to any Bluetooth cell phone or computer. In order to maximize the range of the dragon, you should use it with a Class-1 cell phone or computer (using a Class-1 Bluetooth dongle). Many of the newer handsets being introduced into the market will be rated as Class-1 devices (i.e. 100 mW of power). 8. How Will My Dragon Headset Perform with My Class-2 Cell Phone or Computer? The dragon headset is a fantastic solution for the standard Class-2 Bluetooth cell phone and computer. Class-2 devices typically operate at a range of 9 meters (32 feet). The dragon, when paired to a Class-2 device, typically enhances the performance of standard Class-2 devices by a factor of 2 to 3 times. When the dragon is used in walkie-talkie mode (Dragon-to-Dragon communication), you can maximize the full operating range of the headset of 100 meters (328 feet). In open areas, testing has showed that effective two-way communication was achieved in excess of 450 feet. The dragon represents a new breakthrough for Bluetooth headsets in terms of power, longevity and two-way communication. 9. What's the difference between the Dragon V2 and the original Dragon?Dragon V2 features a completely new ear wrap and ear bud design which adjusts in three dimensions and fits comfortably all day long - and won't ever come off. We've also made big sound quality improvements on the other end of the call, so people won't even know you're using a headset. User Manual
Positioning the Dragon on your ear
If people on the other end of the call are having trouble hearing you, please make sure the Dragon is positioned properly. The two microphones on the Dragon must be positioned towards your mouth, otherwise your voice may be cancelled as background noise. This is easy to do. Once the headset is placed on your ear, simply rotate the headset towards your mouth until the ear bud is compressed comfortably against your ear. The microphones will align automatically towards your mouth as shown below: Adjusting the ear wrapThe Dragon V2 ear wrap is fully adjustable in three dimensions. The telescoping pin is a tight fit to ensure that it does not slip during normal use. The material is very strong so you can apply pressure and rotate the ear wrap back and forth while moving the pin up or down. If the ear bud tends to fall out of your ear, you can attach the larger ear bud which is included in the packaging of your Dragon. Mac OS and SkypeFor the first time using Dragon with your mac, we recommend disconnecting any currently connected devices. Once you disconnect, the red/blue lights on the Dragon will flash meaning that it's in a discoverable mode.
